INFORMATION & DEADLINES FOR PAPERS

  • Submission Deadline: 30 July 2025.
  • To qualify for early bird registration, abstracts must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the early bird deadline.
  • The submitting author must be registered for the XLIV Symposium of the I.S.D.P. (DermPath 2025) for the abstract to be considered. While payment is not required at the time of registration, it must be completed upon acceptance of the abstract.
  • Accepted abstracts will be published in the online supplement of the American Journal of Dermatopathology.
  • Please note that registration for abstract submission does not automatically register you as an attendee for the Dermpathology Symposium. Separate registration will be required to attend the event once your abstract has been accepted.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be in English; submissions in other languages will not be considered.
  • Only abstracts submitted through the official online submission platform will be accepted. All submissions will undergo review by the Abstract Review Committee.
  • Duplicate submissions of the same abstract will not be accepted.
  • Submission acknowledges the author’s consent for the abstract to be published in official Symposium materials.
  • Presenting authors must be registered participants. Registration must be completed at least two months prior to the Symposium to ensure inclusion in official publications and scheduling for presentation.
  • The presenter must be listed as an author on the abstract.
  • Late submissions will not be considered.
  • It is the presenting author’s responsibility to ensure that all co-authors are informed of the abstract’s content before submission.
  • Abstracts that state “data will be discussed at the presentation” will not be accepted.
  • A confirmation email will be sent upon successful submission. If not received, contact the Local Organizing Committee.

Editing & Modifications

  • Authors may edit their abstracts online until the submission deadline.
  • No changes to the title, abstract text, or author details will be allowed after the deadline.

Review & Acceptance Process

  • Authors will be notified of their abstract’s acceptance status via email, along with detailed instructions for poster preparation.
  • While all accepted abstracts will be presented as posters, a select number of authors may be invited for an oral presentation at the discretion of the organizing committee. Notification of selection will be sent via email.
  • Any changes to the presenting author must be submitted in writing to the Local Organizing Committee.
  • If the original presenter is unable to attend, a co-author must take over and inform the secretariat.
